For the second straight year, the Chicago Rogues met the Chicago Blue Collars in the Kerouac Cup Series. But this time, the Blue Collars swept the Rogues in the North/South battle for citywide -- and baseball -- supremacy.

In the NL East, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia all tied for first place. Chicago -- the team that won the season series over both -- won a tiebreaker to claim the division crown en route to the whole title, their 9th in franchise history dating back to 1800.
