I don't believe the results are actually that far off, it's more the way the game looks. When you see a soft dribbler, you kind of expect that might end up being a hit. The issue is when the ball is hit solidly to your infielder and they just stand there, then s-l-o-w-l-y toss the ball to 1B, that's when it's frustrating. The fact is this was likely actually a ball to deep SS or drove the 3B back and to his left to where he couldn't pivot and make the throw.
In reality, the data in my games runs pretty close to real life.
