I had the most crushing near-miss last week when finishing up year 6 of my Eastern Association. I lost a starter to injury in the first round and a swingman made his first postseason start in game 4 of the finals, up 3-0. All the poor fool did was get 8 2/3 no-hit innings before giving up a hit (in hindsight, It was a batter that had walked twice earlier in the game,and I really should have pitched around). As the game was telling me that the pitcher was exhausted, I opted to go with the closer to finish up the series.
