Don't care at all... but might be useful while scouting other team's prospects. If it's just based on OSA nevermind, but otherwise it'd be another way to see something worthwhile that your scout missed.

Not paying attention to the list doesn't preclude one from looking for prospects. I prefer to use "List all MLB players", check "include minor leagues", and set a filter for league level "not mlb," and sort as needed for each situation. It is a more comprehensive list than the Top Prospect List. Unless scouting values are different than OSA on the prospect list as described above, that list is inferior in almost every way.

edit: besides the possible scouting thing, also if it affects trade value, it would be good to reference. I hope that would only be relative to mismatched scouting between teams though... i.e. a team sees less talent, but the prospect is top-X on the list, so it values it a bit more than normal for their perceived ratings of that player.
