Stefan Welch wins hist first Helms award. Welch hit 10HR, 55 Hits, 28 RBI, in a limited year, Adelaide's star was able to win the award due to massive national popularity due to his stellar seasons throughout the years.
Colenutt finished 2nd (by 1 vote), and Huber finished 3rd.
Pitcher of the Year Award
Edwin Carl - SP - Gold Coast Blue Tongues
The right hander takes home Gold Coast's first hardware. Carl pitched 108.1 innings for the expansion side. He went 8-4 with a 2.33 ERA. He struck out 112 and gave up only 85 hits.
Thompson (Canberra) and Vic Black finished directly behind him in voting.
Reliever of the Year Award
Aaron Thompson - CL - Canberra
Thompson, runner up for Pitcher of the Year, was the dominant closer all season. He had 17 saves and struck out 55 in 52 innings.

Melbourne's Wall, 22, was a key presence in their OF this year. He hit .230 and had 51 hits, 12HRs, and 30+ RBIs.
