Preview: Perth defeated Adelaide two games to none in the Preliminary Series. Canberra has been lead by OF Stefan Anslow, however, Anslow will be unavailable for the series as he is still on the DL with a shoulder injury.
Game 1 - Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Solid game from both pitchers. The only runs of the game scored when Rhett Colenutt started off the top of the fourth with a single then Ryan Stovall singled as well. A Jake Hodgson ground out scored Colenutt and Gareth Neilson's single scored Stovall. 2-0 Perth. That was it for the scoring as Sam Gibbons pitched 7 innings of shutout baseabll and Eric Marzec compelted the game. Gibbons had 10ks. James Parr (CANB) went the full 9 but gave up 9 hits which turned into 2 runs. Parr struck out 15.

Game 2 - Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Canberra's Luke Wilkins started game 2 and Perth's Todd Van Steensel was his opposition. Canberra jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the 3rd. The game was never truly close expect for another Colenutt HR. Final 5-2.

Game 3 - Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Canberra would start James Parr for game 3 on short rest. Canberra would score in the second on a Russell Hewat single that scored OF Trent Oeltjen. Canberra's former ROY Nathan Roneberg would hit a 401ft 2 RunHR off Scott Mitchinson in the bottom of the fifth. 3-0. Zach Penprase would force himself home on a misplayed ball in the bottom of the sixth as Justin Trapp hit a liner to LF. Canberra would never look back, finishing the game with 3 more runs in the bottom 8. Perth's bats would never get going against James Parr's 12Ks as he only surrendered 7 baserunners the whole game.

Canberra lost two games to one against EDA Rhinos.
EDA went on to win against Hokkaido 4 games to 3.
