With Win González Sets Record:
An amazing season for Ricardo González of the Georgetown Sixteens reached its climax today, as the Georgetown Sixteens's starting pitcher set the league record for most wins in a single season with 26, passing the great Robert Walker. Fans at Ballpark of Milton gave him a long ovation after the game had ended and the hurler was pushed back onto the field by his teammates for a curtain call.
This year González has gone 26-4 with an ERA of 2.07 and has 340 strikeouts in 260.2 innings.

Not only had Ricardo Gonzalez set the all-time record for W's in a season he also broke his own record for K's in a season. With all the injuries the Sixteens have had this season the one constant has been Gonzalez. He has won the pitcher of the month award every month and has put together one of the best and most dominate seasons by a pitcher ever.
When this season is over, if the Sixteens and Gonzalez can't come to an agreement Gonzalez becomes a free-agent. Making $23,900,000 this season, the second highest salary in the league, as a 30-year-old it will be interesting to see what kind of offers he receives. He has at least 3 more solid seasons before a decline, at least that would be my guess...
Just an amazing player...
