Well the Expos are playing for jobs and an for the management, an opportunity to get to see some of the younger players. We will continue to start our regulars but the some of the roster expansion call ups will come into the games in the later innings. Today we play a double header with the Reds.

Expos will send LHP Jamari Taft to the hill, he is 1-0 with a 2.93 ERA since being traded to the Expos for Aaron Cregg. He will be facing 25 year old Matt Peeples, the RHP is having a terrific season and is 11-8 with a 3.23 ERA in 20 starts.

In the top of the 1st C Nate Samms hits his 16th HR of the season, a solo shot for a 1-0 lead. 2B Fernando Martinez followed with a 2-out Double. SS Ryan Maynard cashed him in with a RBI Single and a 2-0 lead.

The Expos pulled Jamari Taft after 6 innings and a 3-0 lead. He allowed 5 hits and struck out 9 but the Expos wanted to get some of the other arms they may need to count next season in the game. RHP Terry Sutt came into the game, he is 0-3 with a 5.53 ERA so far in 27 innings. He maybe an option for the 5th starter next season. He doesn't start out good for him, after getting the 1st out and giving up back to back Singles, RF David Haynes air mails a throw to 3rd base and the Reds score. Another 1-out Single makes the score 3-2 before he gets out of the inning.

Its top of the 7th and the Expos have a few of the young guns coming to bat. SS Eric Forristall leads of with a Single, followed by a Single by 3B Gene Watkins before LF Chris Proudfoot comes into the game sporting a 0-7 start to his MLB career. Proudfoot makes it 1-8 with a 3-run HR and a 6-2 lead.

In the 9th RF David Haynes had a Single followed by a 1-out Double by 2B Vladik Aleev, his 1st career MLB hit moves Haynes to 3rd. SS Eric Forristall hits into a fielders choice scoring Haynes. Its now 7-2.

Terry Sutt is at 32 pitches and Expos want him to finish the game. He gives up a lead off HR to to start the 9th but gets the final 3 outs to end the game. Expos 7 Reds 3
