The 1969 Expos, like 23 other teams were all unsure of what they had and where they stood. The Expos 1st season was quite a struggle, finishing 5th in the NL East with a 40-60 record. The Expos were led offensively by 2B
Joel McNally. As 32 years of age, McNally hit .309 with 3 HRs and 24 RBIs but missed the first 3 weeks of the season due to injury and was limited to 81 games. The Expos also were quite excited about the young 26 year old SP
Aaron Cregg. Although Cregg had a 6-8 record he had 146 Ks in just 139 innings over 21 starts.
