You can try re-installing the game to see if that will help. Otherwise I would make sure that all your video drivers are up to date as well as those can potentially cause problems. You could also let us know more specifically about the "crashes" themselves, as there are many ways that crashes can manifest. For example, does the game pop up with a specific error, or does it simply hang and not respond, is it the OS that pops up a message saying the game is being closed, etc... The more details we have, the more likely we can potentially figure out what might be happening.

Thanks for getting back to me! My video drivers appear to be up to date, so unfortunately that's not the problem. This is how the problem generally manifests:
—I replace my pitcher with a pinch hitter
—My half of the inning ends
—The "you have a defensive player missing" message comes up, taking me to the lineup screen
—A split second later, the game quits, taking me back to Steam. It doesn't hang, and there's no error message—it just quits
