Assuming info is accurate:
his velocity is the same and ratings are relatively the same... his results are not the same. what's wrong here? nothing. it's perfectly normal for the game.
you've had one bad year with that guy and all the rest were great... if anything is unusual it's his consitency... dont believe me? look up some HoF pitchers... very few are consistent through their entire career, even when ignoring age and injuries.
i use this alot... roger clemens had a crap year 1/4th of the time. you may be able to find examples that show consistency but they are a distant minority.
also i want to point out... what does the fact that the other parts of your rotation pitched well mean relative to his results that year? they are exclusive of each other.
