I'd like the option for a selling team to agree to pay a portion of a player's salary in a trade. This is very common in real life.

As it stands now, adding cash to a deal does not always serve as a substitute - considering cash caps, owners taking profit after a season, etc. A cash windfall in one season does not always carry forward to future seasons. This option should be programmed into the software to work as intended.
