I was able to create a new image, paint a few lines and remove the background in 10 seconds. It looks like a very intuitive program that doesn't require you to search for basic functions or read the help screens. I use Paint Shop Pro and it's very similar.
Use Google or Bing and search for tutorials. Also check youtube. The paint.net forums are also very active and there are plugins available.for more advanced users. I know from your previous posts that you are hesitant to embark on new PC related adventures so go for it and maybe you'll be helping others in the future. Everybody was a rookie at some point. I saw a short video using Paint.net software and it was very simple to use... that is why I considered using it.... Thank you for your great help.
