Game #35: Jays lose heartbreaker in extras

Normally when your starter gives you 9 innings you can feel confident in assuming you'd get the W. Not so on this night, unfortunately. A miscue in the 10th allowed Scott Cooper to drive in the winning run in walk-off fashion off closer Tony Castillo, who had committed the error that kept the game alive with two outs.

WP: Ken Ryan (3-2)
LP: Tony Castillo (0-3)
HR: Andre Dawson (6)

GM Notes: Mike Huff got injured while running the bases and had to leave the game. The prognoses is a strained hip flexor, and will be day-to-day but should remain in the lineup.

Game #36: Deja Vu as Cooper walks off Blue Jays

Like a re-run of your favourite sitcom, Scott Cooper just keeps walking off the Blue Jays in the 10th off closer Tony Castillo, who replaced Woody Williams after a pair of walks to begin the inning.

WP: Greg Harris (1-0)
LP: Woody Williams (3-1)
HR: Joe Carter (6)

Game #37: New acquisition Hulett helps Toronto avoid sweep

Another phenomenal outing from Pat Hentgen, who went the distance and only allowed one run (unearned) for the victory. New starting third baseman Tom Hulett (who was acquired from the Orioles after the previous game) went 2-for-4 to make a fine impression on his new teammates.

WP: Pat Hentgen (8-0)
LP: Jim Neidlinger (0-3)
HR: Devon White (7), John Olerud (4), Joe Carter (7)
