That's the thing I love about keeping score at a ballgame - everyone has their own style that makes sense to them. I knew I should differentiate if the ball was caught in fair territory or foul, so I decided, many years ago, to use "F7" if the left fielder caught it in fair territory, or "FO7" if they caught it in foul territory.
What I don't know, and I really should, since it's my system, is if the "FO" stands for "Foul Out" or just "FOul"
