Show the current star players of your leagues! Who are the THE guys in your baseball world?

I always love reading about forum posters experiences with OOTP, particularly the star players in your league(s). I thought we could have a fun little thread where we show off the current stars of our leagues, maybe with a little back story or basic history for each player. I know we have the dynasty forum, but I feel we don't share enough about our leagues on this part of the forum. Please share! I'd love to read about your star players.

As for me, my fictional MLB (started in 1901), I'm now in the 2059 off-season, and the following players (in no particular order) are considered the faces of my league. I'll do position players only, and if there's enough activity in this thread I'll also share the pitchers as well.

32 year old Noah Pennington is a 3x MVP winner with 6 all-star appearances and 4 Silver Sluggers to his credit. He won the Triple Crown in 2058 and has lead the NL in OPS 3 separate times. With 300 home runs and 1,000 RBI's before the age of 32, he's looking like a sure-fire HOFer. Not bad for the 115th overall selection back in 2046.

28 year old Chad "whatever you do, don't.." Tegethoff is always in the thick of the home run race each and every season. He's lead the majors in RBI's twice, and was just a few days ago named the 2059 NL MVP. He's a 5x All-star with 2 Silver Sluggers and has a World Series ring as a member of the Rockies 2056 Championship club. He was a big part of that post-season run, being named the NLCS MVP. He's living up to the billing of his 1st overall draft position.

26 year old Danny Salinas has proven to be a valuable member of his club since his introduction to the Majors, posting a 20.5 WAR in 3 and a half seasons. He's already a 3x All-Star to go along with a Silver Slugger, and at 26 years old, he's just now entering his prime.

Whistler BC's Nick Mayer has won back to back World Series with the Yankees, being named both the ALDS and World Series MVP during the 2058 run. He can play multiple positions in the infield and outfield, but his plus arm has him sticking mostly in right field. He's a 4x All-Star and has won 3 Silver Sluggers. He's a 2x runner up in AL MVP voting. The Yankees scooped him up as a high schooler, 92nd overall.

24 year old switch-hitting John Dembroski (174th overall in 2053) has torched pitchers at every level he's played at, and is looking like a serious threat to perhaps be THE guy, posting a 9.5 WAR in his sophomore season. He flirted with .400 and even .415 for most of this past year, before cooling off in September and finishing at .393. He was an All-Star and a Silver Slugger in 2059 and is definitely one to keep an eye on. He was a 1 man show for the 68-94 Texas Rangers.

A big international amateur signing in 2050, Jesus Soliz is currently the best Cuban player in the Majors and recently finished 2nd in NL MVP voting. Having just turned 26, he's got a long career ahead of him and is already a 2x All-Star and won the Silver Slugger at 3B this past season.

Still just a kid at 22, Oscar Garcia already has 3 seasons in the Majors under his belt. Discovered by Kansas City scouts as a 17 year old out of the Dominican, Garcia won the AL MVP as a 21 year old in only his 2nd MLB season and finished 2nd in voting for 2059. He's a 2x All-Star and 2x Silver Slugger and looks to be the face of the Royals for years to come.

The 7th overall pick in 2050 by the Texas Rangers, Isaiah Slaughter was traded the following year to the A's in a deal for 2x Cy Young award winner Cesar Coronado. The Rangers would like a do-over on that one, as Coronado was a bust in Texas and Slaughter has proven to be a dangerous hitter, twice leading the AL in Slugging percentage. He's a 2x All-Star and has been awarded 4 consecutive Silver Sluggers. He has the chance to opt out of his current deal with the A's after the 2060 season (or stay on for 4 more years at $21,200,000 per) and many around the league are of the belief that he'll test the market.
