Once I played OOTP, I found utopia. The uniforms with facegens satisfy my need for graphics, the 3D stadiums silvam has done has bumped that up a notch, and the baseball card templates many people created also are an awesome touch. And I just love historical play, quirks and all.
I just wish I had OOTP 30 years ago during those summers when I used dice, coins, a deck of cards or even random number generators on a calculator to fill up notebooks with pretend baseball scores.

I don't even want to know what my summer sleep habits would have been if I had OOTP as a kid growing up. I used to stay up to all hours rolling dice, keeping stats until the lines on the pages blurred together. Of course, mom would have been happier as stats on a computer are whole lot more tidier than thousands of scattered score sheets and stats pages. Oh and dad..... looking back, I probably had him risking his job on a monthly basis, having him run off countless blank score cards on his office copy machine. Ugh!
