Wanted to see if having a draft would get players to the PCL any faster. It did. But, I'm seeing other issues now. Guys like Lou Gehrig getting drafted by the Yankees on draft day 12/15/1920 and then released by the Yankees on Christmas day and immediately signed by the San Francisco Seals. Kiki Cuyler signed by the Braves 12/15/1920 and released on 12/25/1920. Cuyler was then signed by the Pirates in January of 1921. So, having a draft does assure the PCL and Texas league are staffed, it just introduces a wacky sign and release problem.
