I am playing 1902 with Cleveland. As I noted in another thread (
https://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boa...ppeared-2.html), my starting 2B (Lajoie), SS and CF all lost their ratings for their respective positions midway through the season, although their zone rating stats still remain solid. After doing a little more digging, I noticed that the OSA Scouting ratings (20-80 scale) for every player on my team changed specifically on July 28 -- power ratings increased by 20-35 points for each player (even the slap hitters). Nearly all pitchers, however, saw their movement rating drop sharply (by 20-40 points), and about 10-20 points for control.
(To complicate my issues further, the link to post screenshots doesn't appear to be working on my computer, even though I did it a few weeks ago).
I've also noticed these tendencies on the vast majority of players on other teams as well- for instance, there is not a single player leaguewide with a power rating below 40. (As a sidenote, no one has a bunt-for-hit rating above 25 - not sure how widespread that was before the other ratings changes). Also, the vanishing defensive ratings have also afflicted several other high profile players in the league-- for instance, Honus Wagner and George Davis no longer have ratings at SS.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? I will try to upload the league data. Thanks.
