Haha cannot argue with that.
I'm sticking with my initial plan of just ignoring the order for the time being. I'm getting close to Spring Training of year two, and I've built my roster like A-Rod is an immovable object. At least he can still play an adequate third base in OOTP!
OOTP has also helped me understand why the Yanks were able to get Starling Castro so cheaply. He didn't have a bad year for me, but his rating has eroded to 1.5 stars (2.5 potential) by my scout's eyes, and when I offer him in trade I get hit with the "I'M NOT PAYING FOR YOUR OVERPRICED VETERANS!" spiel... dude is 26! But slow and lacking big power. Dustin Ackley quickly took the strong side of the platoon on my Yankees.
I'd rather have signed Brett Lawrie to be a more useful spark plug, that could cover second and third and pinch run but... alas. Castro is an anchor.
