Hey folks,

Had a few requests, so I thought I'd upload a quickstart of my league.

The New World Baseball League is an alternate-reality U.S. baseball league. There's no fancy backstory, I just wanted a US-based league but I prefer fictional over real players, so I created my own league.

Settings[list][*]24 teams, 5 levels of minors. No associations or anything like that, just one-to-one affiliations between minor league and major league teams.[*]All teams have custom logos, jerseys, and ballcaps. Most just have one uniform though, not home and away. And when I say "custom," I mean, stolen from various places around the OOTP board.[*]13 years of history. Yes, I know that's an odd number. It's just where I happened to be when I decided to post a quick-start![*]There are feeder leagues, and the draft takes place in late March, before the season starts. (Requires some suspension of belief, since high schools and colleges are playing Jan/Feb. But it sure is nice to have the draft before the season!)[*]Replays, game logs, pretty much everything in the log settings is turned off, mainly so I could create a reasonably small download file. Re-enable whatever you want.[*]Currently, game is set to "mostly stats," meaning all ratings are off EXCEPT for "other ratings" (defense, etc.).[*]Most other settings like rosters, disabled list, rule 5, etc. like MLB.[*]There IS a salary cap in place.[*]162-game season for the big leagues, fewer games at lower levels (down to 106 for rookie league).[*]Player nationalities set using QuestDog's realistic numbers.

Installation instructions

Download file.
Unzip file (using WinRar) to your "quickstart_games" folder.
Load OOTP.
From main screen, select "New Quickstart Game".
Select "New World" from the top, enter a name for your game, and "Create Game."

I have not included Facegen pictures for this league for size reasons. Therefore, if you want Facegen pictures, I would suggest going to Game | Game Settings | Players & Facegen | Update / Generate All Player Pictures. Then do the same for coach pictures. This will take some time, but easier to let the computer run for a little while than to deal with the constant two-second pauses every time it needs to create a new face!
