Question 24inch or 27inch - Optimal Monitor Size and Resolution for OOTP Baseball

I've been playing OOTP on my 18' screen sized Laptop. I love it, but for me it's hard to read the text at times. But regardless of that, I'm investing in an obnoxiously powerful Desktop PC which will include Dual Geforce GTX 1080 Video Cards in SLI. (***NOT to be confused with 1080p resolution***) I am not here to debate why I am spending so much on a PC, however, it is mainly because I race online and simply because I want to run such power because I can.

Moving on, I've now decided to run OOTP(17) on my desktop instead of my laptop. I have been debating on which size gaming monitor to get for my new custom built desktop. Now, I game more than just OOTP, but OOTP is more like a hobby of mine so I spend more time with OOTP Baseball and Front Office Football than I do with the other games. Having said that, I need a monitor that will be able to satisfy my needs for both types of games/simulations that I play. Not that it matters, but the other games I play are first-person war games such as Arma 3 and a few other war strategy games as well as iRacing online.

The two monitors I am debating on are (but am leaning more towards the 27') -

**Acer Predator 24 Inch 1080p 144mhz w/G-Sync
OR
**Asus ROG Swift PG279Q 27 Inch Widescreen 2560x1440p 144mhz w/G-Sync

My question(s) are -

1) - Will OOTP be able to run on these larger screens properly? I mean, will OOTP17 (and/or future installments) be able to run the entire full screen of either 24' or 27' monitors or will the game be 'windowed' and unable to run the full screen, making it look tacky?

2) - Will the text be too small to read at these higher resolutions despite the increased monitor display size? I do wear contacts/glasses as my eye sight isn't the greatest, but remember, I will be sitting directly in front of the monitor - no more than 3 ft away.

Also, if anyone is running OOTP on a 27' 1440p or a 24' 1080p monitor, what are your opinions about them and what are your experiences running either of them with OOTP?

Thanks for reading and thank you in advance for any input shared.
