I've done this a half-dozen times now and I've figured out my base opening trade to dump salary and pick up prospects for the Brewers. This finishes out the purge portion of the rebuild immediately. It means losing a lot of games in 16-17, but once it's done it's done, you have a really low cap, a bunch of young prospects, and the flexibility to adapt to whatever resources are available in the draft, AFA, etc.
