Pirates Scrubs of the 80s Decline: Paul Moskau and Ken Reitz
For some perverse reason, the Pittsburgh Pirates of the nose candy era interest me. The '79 family club sprang numerous leaks in' 80-81 as the veterans got old and others got chemically dependent, so in 1982 Pete Peterson and Chuck Tanner strove to caulk the hull with marginals and fugitives from other organizations: Tom Griffin, Ross Baumgarten, Randy Niemann, Manny Sarmiento, Nelson Norman, Reggie Walton, etc. Here are two more seldom-seen scrubs from dr.jteeee, journeyman righty Paul Moskau and former Cardinals third baseman Ken Reitz. Moskau got one more cup with the Cubs in '83, but Reitz lasted only a few weeks with the '82 Pirates before his career ended for good. Unlike most images on the doctor's ebay site, these two images did not enlarge any further than you see them here.
