Generals Defeat Tourists: Sometimes you get the lucky bounces, sometimes you get the lucky breaks and calls, and sometimes you just play better than the other team.

That was the case in 2031, as the Dover Generals topped the Ocean City Tourists 9-2 tonight at Dover Grounds to win the League Championship. It was the 1st title in franchise history.

"When you play for championships, you have to play better than the team in the other dugout. We did that in this series, and all year. Now we're the best team in baseball," said Tom Brown.

The club's manager just grinned and nodded when asked to comment on Brown's words.

"He said it best - play better than the other team."

The city of Dover seems to have no problem with being home to a championship team. A grand celebration is expected to kick off for the winners in the days to come.
