2016 SEASON ENDS
Record:
73-89 .451, 22 GB 3rd place
Winner of the division:
95-67 Chicago Cubs
Season Synopsis:
Overall it was a positive season, coming in 3rd place with a joke of a first baseman (no offense Pacheco.) Our pitching was overall atrocious, with a 4.33 team ERA it was all bad all around. Our saving grace was our average offense who was able to limp through the season with out the power of Joey Votto. In the offseason the main target will be pitching no doubt, then a budget 1B to solidify the spot, Pacheco has no future as our long term starter.
Team MVP:
LF (CF) Scott Schebler
.260/.318/.415 with 20 HR and 69 RBI
Scott caught fire after being transferred to CF, and eloquently filled the shoes of the recently departed Billy Hamiliton and although an arguably poor season on any other team, it was a masterful season on ours.
Team Dud:
RHP Robert Stephenson
4-13 4.82 ERA 27 HR allowed 124 K (21 starts, 28 G overall)
No comments needed. He sucked.
