Interesting you mention injuries, here. I finished off the 2017 season, and Fernandez did not fare as well as his 2016 season. He was lost to injury in August and missed 5 months. Not a bad year per se, but enough to knock him off his perch as top pitcher in 2017.

Kershaw, however, seemed to get better. His 2017 year was supported by a 4.17 runs scored per game by the Dodgers, as they ran away with the NL West title again.
