Let's say Unique... Trade AI Decisions

Currently playing a 2016 quick start as my Washington Nationals. One super weird thing I saw go down... the Mets having recently traded for Neil Walker signed him in June to a 5 year extension worth $16M per year.

The Mets were leading the division by about 6 games at the time and in "win now" mode.

Then, 3 weeks after re-signing him they traded Neil Walker to the Brewers who are in "rebuild" mode for a 29 year old AA first basemen.

The Mets wind up starting a random AAA call up at 2nd base who is a half star according to both my scout and OSA.

This is strange, anyone else seeing things like this go on? Might just be one random case but seemed very counter intuitive.
