Since 6.5 I have messed around with all sorts of things in this game, and have discovered that a 24 to 32 team league is about as much as I can handle/sustain while maintaining a full-time job and a life. But by all means do whatever you like that you can sustain.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.
