Frustrating
I am dealing with this problem on a regular basis. I took the Reds and my first season I let things take their course cause I knew I had rebuilding to do. I got rid of over priced players... and won 59 games.
Next season I did some work and I didnt think I had a great team I was much better. I won 73 ,but I was 10 games over .500 in August. Thats when I started getting the emails that there were issues in the locker room. Suddenly I couldnt win at all and had 2 very long losing streaks. I couldnt find any issues with players...yes some were greedy...low desire for a winner, but as far as personality, there were not any obvious problems.
My manager retired I hired a strict manager hoping that would handle the issue. I again ( I thought ) improved my team greatly and thought I had a shot at the division.
The problems began immediatley...
I had a selfish first baseman... traded him.. I had an outfielder who would "call a spade a spade"( translated=outspoken)...traded him. Still no fix . I still got emails. I fired my bench coach and Manager who had similar personalities and hired a normal manager. For about a month and a half I did not get a email. They have now started coming again. I still do not have a problem personality.
I do not want the issue spelled out for me. I do like the challenge, but I do not know what to do. I cant keep and shouldn't have to keep firing very good players and managers to solve this.
