I made a mistake with round one of the Astros-Yankees series and forgot to take a screen shot before moving on to the next series. The end result was the same, although the series went 6 games instead of 4, but Lou Gehrig was robbed on an epic series. In four games Gehrig would hit 5 home runs and drive in 26 runs, having the best series I've seen to date.
All that was wiped away though, although Gehrig still had an MVP worthy series, hitting .360 with 3 home runs and 6 RBI to capture the MVP. Babe Ruth would add two homers for the Yankees, who finished the series with a 13-0 blowout in Game 6 to defeat the 1997 Astros 4 games to 2.
Waite Hoyt would win both of his starts for the Yankees while striking out 10 batters.
