Getting the same error and no luck in safe mode even with all 4 launch options entered in steam.

Ran a "tracemode" but there's no OOTP folder listed in the Finder Library.

My system:

Macbook Air 1.8 GHz core I-5 with 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB
OS X 10.8.5 (12F2560)
All software current (OSX 10.8.5)

First thing I did was DL the program straight from OOTP website but got a warning there wasn't enough memory available in startup to run the program. So I closed all apps which didn't help so I then deleted large video files that I no longer needed. It still didn't work so I bought the game on Steam, this is when the "game unexpectedly quit" errors started appearing. My system isn't full of junk, my storage shows 42GB free from a 130GB HD.

At a loss here, I have 2015 installed which works fine..
