I will disable historical minors. The historical minors idea is a good one, in theory, from an affliates standpoint. I like having the historical minor-league affiliates.
But it's not worth it for me if I can't keep career minor-leaguers from reaching the majors or if I can't keep minor-leaguers from reaching the majors early. Pat Zachry showed up for the Reds in '75, even though he didn't make his MLB debut until '76. I don't mind real-life players switching teams, having varied performances, etc. I guess I just draw the line at who's included in a player pool in MLB for a given season.
This is not a complaint, just an observation. Others may like that variation, and I certainly understand and respect that. Like I said, I think the historical minors option has its merit and potential.
