Bragg Out for 3 Months
Marh 15, 1990
Clearwater, Florida – Newly acquired outfielder Glenn Braggs will have to wait to make his major league debut in a Phillies uniform. The 27 year old outfielder tore a ligament in his thumb in training Wednesday afternoon. Early indications slate him to be out for possibly as long as three months.
“Of course we’re disappointed,” said Kier, when asked what the management team’s reaction was to the injury, “but its part of the game. We will have to look to other players to step up in Glenn’s absence, and we will look forward to his return.”
Prior to his injury, Braggs was having a terrific spring having put up a .349 average and 4 home runs in 17 games.
