Mr. Kier,

Here is an overview of the Minor League assets that we currently own the rights to. Currently, the OSA has our system ranked 22nd out of 26 teams which means that we have some work to do. I have gone ahead and ranked them in order of potential.

1. Mike Lieberthal (C) – Arguably the most promise in the system. Lieberthal is currently playing at the “A Ball” level. He has a great eye and will not strike out very often. His arm could use some work though.
2. Dave Hollins (3B) – Hollins is currently at AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He has potential to contribute at 3B as a fill in for Charlie Hayes but his defensive abilities are lacking.
3. Mickey Morandini (2B) – Potential to be a #2 hitter at best, but more than likely he will fit into the lower part of the order. He makes good contact, and can find the gaps. His discipline at the plate gives him potential to be a good clutch hitter.
4. Andy Ashby (SP) – Currently ranked #42 by the OSA, however I do not value him quite as high. He is, however, our best pitching prospect. He might be worth moving if the deal is right.
5. Wes Chamberlain (OF) – Keep this guy around. He’s 23 and still a year away from being ready for the majors but he’s poised to be a contributor.
6. Jose De Jesus (SP) – We got him as a bargain at the end of last season, but De Jesus is a project player.

The Expendables – Jim Vatcher (2B), Gary Bennett (C), Steve Bieser (C), Jason Grimsley (SP)

These players are pretty far down on the depth chart and might be worth shopping around. Especially our catching prospects.

Best of luck, and I look forward to working with you.
