I downloaded and installed the dark skin from add ons central
I exited the game and took the icons from the ootp 16 skin that i wanted and posted them in the 17 dark skin overwriting the previous files.
i deleted the skin.bin and started the game.
no changes.
I then put the skin.bin file back in place and started teh game again still no changes.
i dont know what to do anymore.

MAKE SURE to run the game as ADMIN after deleting the skin.bin file, mine always defaults to normal user and not "run as admin" I have to set that each time (right click on OOTP17 icon and check the box to "run as admin". You know it's working as it will take a big longer when you open the game while it rebuilds the skin.bin file.
