In my test league for release today, my Cubs were swept out by the Dodgers in the first round in 2016.
After some savvy offseason moves, we won 111 games, and then exorcised all demons, beating the Mets in the Divisional round, being taken to 7 games by the Dodgers in the NLCS, but prevailing to go to the World Series.
And in 5 games, defeated Boston to win the World Series.
Fictional or not, watching the last game play out in 3d....my heart rate jumped a few times :P
