Top free agents demanding too much $?
This seems to be happening quite often in 17 so far: top free agent will demand something absurd like $40m/10years. AI will completely ignore them. Their demands scale back slowly but they are still ignored until their demands plummet when preseason hits. After a few days into the preseason their new baseline demand will be only 1 season at a fraction of their original price.
I'm in the preseason of 2020 right now and I see Yasiel Puig signed for 1yr/13.8m after coming off a 6 win season. Nolan Arenado signed for 1yr/12.6m coming off 5.4 wins and a gold glove. Paul Goldschmidt signed for 1yr/10.6m coming off of 5+ wins every year of my sim. This after 2-3 win players are signing long-term $20m+/yr deals just days after free agency starts.
