My first experience was getting OOTP 9 on Steam in 2009. I wanted something low bandwidth for my work computer for when I traveled, and liked the idea of running my own team. I had no idea what was doing, didn't dig hard enough, and played the game for like an afternoon before shelving it and forgetting about it.
In a true Dory moment I came across OOTP 14 a few years later, bought it, loved it, and have played 14,15, and 16 now. Not too long ago I saw OOTP 9 in my Steam list and was like "oh yeaaaahhh!" lol.
