Deadball teams can't beat post-1921 teams in a 5- or 7-game series. Many of them do pitch well and have speed, but it's so hard to beat the 3-run homer.

Whenever I do one of these tournaments, I use teams after 1920 only. Baseball was just too different in the deadball era. (And don't even talk to me about the 19th century...)
