Atlanta Crackers 1901-1965 won more pennants than any other professional baseball club during that period except for the Yankees. There's a nice article about them at Wikipedia.

Anyway, a few years ago in an online league I picked that name for my team since I live in Georgia. Some of the Northern players objected to that name saying it was a derogatory term. I tried to point out the rich history of the team but they weren't convince so I picked another name.

I'm sure Marcus will be historically correct and I'm looking forward to Managing the Atlanta Crackers and their players such as Eddie Mathews, Tommy Aaron, Skip Carey, Ernie Harwell and numerous other stars.
