I don't disagree with the Wolf very often but I don't think the game needs much added to it to help stats only game play. Aside from making the player profile page customizable to remove the blank spaces where the rating bars were I guess. I've been doing this so long I don't even notice them anymore for my part. I don't think the benefit to the relatively small stats only crowd would be worth the effort Markus & Co would have to put into it.

Stats only is just a different way of analyzing the data. You have to really look at it rather than just glance. But I've found that if forces me to rely on the scout more in some things and less in others. I once thought it would be nice if the scouting report gave a breakdown on the pitchers individual pitches the way a real scout would but I don't think we need to get that granular in this game. But when it comes to the intangibles like speed (which we already have) and pitcher stamina it would be really nice to have.

I don't want to turn this thread into another argument about the merits of playing this way but stats only has made me appreciate the real life game much more because now I really understand what it all means and can read the story it is telling on mlb.com
