Our offense scored first in the top of the third when Jesus Parra picked up a one out single, moved to second on a single by Antonio Garcia, stole third base, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Manuel Gallegos. Garcia would then score on a single by Antonio Rodriguez and we were quickly up 2-0.
A solo home run by Fernando Ramos in the fourth would give us a 3-0 lead, but the Cubs answered in the bottom of the inning with a solo home run of their own by Francisco Perez.
Francisco Rojas would run into trouble in the bottom of the fifth when he allowed a triple and homer to Joel Locke as the Cubs tied the game, and an RBI double later in the inning would give the Cubs a 4-3 lead.
That would be the last run that Rojas allowed and he left the game after six innings allowing the 4 runs on 6 hits with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Our bats grew silent though in the loss, although Dale Blevins would pitch two hitless innings of relief. The series is now tied at 2 games apiece.
