I agree. I don't know what the right answer is, but I'd like to be able to flag some guys as 'do not release' and then let the AI prune the rest as needed, preferably including some older players in A-AA. While it can be really fun to dig into your minor leagues and manage player development, sometimes you just want your assistant GM to handle it for you.
