Another point regarding the Marciano-Charles picture...Prior to that fight, Ezzard Charles' courage was brought into question for whatever reason by alot of boxing writers. Well, Charles sure proved them wrong and was the epitome of courage on that night. He absorbed tremendous punishment and would not quit, lasting the distance. I read an account somewhere that said that Charles could not talk above a whisper after the fight because of a blow that he recieved to his throat.
Another interesting little sidenote to that fight is the fact that the referee did not have to break the fighters one time during the entire 15 rounds.
And once again I agree with you Danny. If I was a betting man and was forced to bet against Ali, I would want Rocky Marciano to be the other guy in the ring.
