We are in Louisville, but the rain is pouring down and we will have to wait until Monday to begin our series. And since we have already clinched the Championship, we will not be interested in playing any double-headers.
Liberty League:
Cleveland (1) at Cincinnati (4): William Butina (26-5.6) (13-17) over Willard Clapp (26-4.3) (12-25). Butina allowed 6 hits, no walks and struck out 5. Clapp allowed 7 hits, 1 walk and struck out 5. Manger/LF Silver Borresen (34-6.9) had 3 hits, stole a base, scored a run and had an RBI. He hit under .200 from the 1st of May to the end of July. Since then, he has been the hottest hitter in the League, batting .359 over the last 2+ months. In October, he is 13 for 23 (.565).
Grand National Association:
Chicago (12) at Milwaukee (8): Pony Stanley (25-6.2) (26-17) over Al Bedingfield (25-2.8) (6-9). Rookie 2B Dave Fry (26-5.5) hit a double and a home run and had 3 RBIs. SS Stub Nelson (26-5.6) had 3 hits with a double, stole a base, scored 3 runs and had an RBI.
