Editor's Note: Is everybody getting tired of watching me win championships? It is getting a little embarrassing. I go and tell everyone about all the things I do to prevent myself from having an advantage over the AI and then I win all the time anyway. That makes it seem like the things I am doing must not have much effect.

This is my 9th league championship in 9 full seasons of managing. And the 1 year where I quit early, the team won the championship, too.

Well, let me just say that this has not at all been my normal experience playing OOTP. If you remember the 1st run I had at doing the Liberty League, before I quit and restarted after 5 seasons, I did not win any championships there. The 2 seasons I managed, my team finished 4th and 2nd before the owner folded up shop (not winning had nothing to do with re-booting the league).

So stick with us and I promise you that eventually I will miss out on a pennant!

The plan is to follow Bart Levy or Reddy Ricker wherever they manage (with Ricker taking priority in case they both have a job at the same time) for the short term. The next time I pick a team to manage, rather than take a job by chance (like Detroit), It will be a team with little to no chance at winning a championship in their 1st season.

P.S. By the way, Reddy Ricker (41-6.0) refuses to retire. He is currently on the reserve roster of a B League team. We call this "playing in the low minors". So the narrative is that he is a player-manager for a C or D League team. In actuality, he has not appeared in a B League game in 2 years and has not started a B League game in 3 years. Hopefully he will finally retire this off season. His personality ratings will make him a strong managerial candidate in my system of selecting managers and I am looking forward to reuniting with him. However, there is no guarantee that he will get a job.
