Sal DeVaux, Ind. (33-3.5) (R 14-22 3.54 9.3-2.9-2.6 H/9-BB/9-SO/9) vs. Dave Frazier, Det. (28-5.7) (L 19-8 2.12 8.4-1.0-3.0)

We are 5-0 against DeVaux on the season.

Lost - 8 to 2

Frazier no longer lead the League in ERA. He just did not stink, he was epically stinky. We gave them 1 hits yesterday and 18 today.

Frazier allowed 18 hits, 1 walk and struck out 3.

DeVaux gave us 6 hits, 4 walks and struck out 4. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run.

We made no errors and Indianapolis made 5.

2B Ed Aldrich (24-6.8) had 2 hits with a triple and scored a run. CF Ren Dunbar (24-6.8) had 2 hits.

For the Hoosiers, C Sandy McKinnon (29-4.0) had 3 hits, scored a run and had 3 RBIs. RF Ed Wakefield (28-5.8) had 5 hits with a double and an RBI. 1B Fred Boss (25-6.0) had 3 hits with a double, scored a run and had an RBI.

Liberty League:
Boston (3) at New York (4): Miah Turner (27-5.3) (20-15) over Dave Wolf (25-4.7) (16-22). New York scored twice in the bottom of the 9th to win the game. 2B Bill Baker (26-3.6) singled to end it. Turner allowed 5 hits 2 walks and struck out 9.

Louisville (2) at Cincinnati (3) in 10 innings: John Stevens (31-8.2) (20-17) over Jumbo Hoops (23-6.5) (12-11). The game ended on a error. In 10 innings, Stevens allowed 6 hits, no walks and struck out 3. Hoops allowed 10 hits, 4 walks and struck out 4. 1B Willie Burton (33-8.5) hit his 6th home run of the year.

Pittsburgh (5) at Cleveland (6) in 10 innings: Artie Boucher (25-6.1) (10-20) over Fred Horner (27-3.8) (2-4). This one also ended on an error: a catcher's throwing error one steal of third. For the Puddlers, RF Joe Coffey (32-5.2) hit a home run.

Grand National Association:
Kansas City (5) at Brooklyn (6) in 10 innings: William David (25-3.6) (20-18) in relief of Al Green (25-3.8) over Al McClaughry (24-5.6) (12-15). This one ended on a passed ball. McClaughry has lost 7 of his last 8.

Chicago (4) at Providence (3) in 15 innings: Pony Stanley (25-6.2) (20-11) over Ed Hodges (28-3.2) (15-13). 1B Joe Vaughan (33-5.2) hit his 4th home run of the year in the top of the 15th to give the Colts the lead. In 15 innings, Stanley allowed 11 hits, 3 walks and struck out 7. Hodges allowed 13 hits, 2 walks and struck out 11. For the Grays, 1B Ren Mason (22-6.9) had 4 hits and a walk and 2 RBIs.

Milwaukee (0) at Washington (7): Pop Yurkovich (36-5.6) (15-20) over Kid Henze (24-5.2) (5-6). Yurkovich allowed 4 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. It is his 2nd shutout this year and 19th of his career. C Caleb Sawyer (29-8.9) had 2 hits with a double and 3 RBIs.

St. Louis (4) at Omaha (5): Lee Sprague (28-3.5) (23-7) over Jimmy Richards (25-0.9) (14-21) Tom Anglin (35-5.6) hit a 2-out single to win the game in the bottom of the 9th. For the Terriers, 1B Ed Zarnoch (27-4.1) had 4 hits with a double, stole a base and scored 2 runs.
