The Kodiaks were trying to even up the series today, and we sent Cesar Delgado to the mound. Delgado would pitch well tonight, giving up his only run in the second inning on a sacrifice fly to Bertolameu Henrich.
Delgado would exit after five innings giving up just the 1 run on 6 hits while walking three and striking out 5. While he threw just 88 pitches Vancouver scored two runs in the top of the sixth on an RBI double by Danny White and RBI triple by Flint Reed, and Delgado turned the ball over to the bullpen to preserve the lead.
Terry Brown was the first out of the pen and did his job with two scoreless innings while allowing just one hit. Jeff Gibbons came in next and pitched a hitless inning. Closer Keith Hahn came in to pitch the ninth and get the final three outs to even up the series.
Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be as Ramiro Ayala singled and Dave Waters hit a two run walk off home run to win the game 3-2 and go up in the series 2 games to none.
