The finale of our 4 game series with Cleveland was rained out.
I took the opportunity to send 2B Jake Potter (33-6.8) and RF Hi Bowman (24-5.5) to Syracuse and recall SS Al Hartford (23-5.0) and CF Fred Negus (24-6.7).
Liberty League:
Cincinnati (6) at Boston (2): John Stevens (31-8.2) (9-12) over William Little (27-6.0) (12-9). Stevens allowed 6 hits, 2 walks and struck out 1.
Grand National Association:
Brooklyn (4) at Chicago (7): Pat Seguin (24-4.4) (13-10) over Al Green (25-3.8) (8-14). SS Bob Robertson (25-4.1) hit a double and a triple, drew a walk, stole 2 bases, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.
Omaha (4) at St. Louis (5): Jimmy Richards (25-0.9) (9-6) over Skyrocket Rice (23-5.2) (9-6). C Willie Ticknor (31-3.1) hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBIs. For the Mutuals, C Charlie LeFevre (34-5.0) hit his 3rd home run of the season.
Washington (12) at Milwaukee (1): Ed Bush (28-5.3) (9-11) over Dave Ward (23-6.1) (2-3). Bush allowed 4 hits, 3 walks and struck out 2. At bat, he had a hit and scored 2 runs. Ex-Wolverine CF Ben Spencer (27-4.2) had 2 hits and a walk, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs.
